Ingrid vB. Porter is a book artist and painter based in Denver, Colorado,
She uses acrylics, colored pencil and inks in transparent layers to explore issues that are both deeply personal and universal. "My pieces often begin with a personal experience or a societal issue that has gripped me. The resulting artwork speaks to our lived experiences and the deep commonalities of being human."
Her artist's books are in the Tutt Library Special Collections at Colorado College and the University of Denver Library Special Collections, as well as in private collections.
Ingrid holds degrees in art and archetypal art therapy. She studied with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes at Dr. Estes' Archetypal Studies Institute, and at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
She is currently preparing new work for a solo show at Art Gym Denver., June 27 - July 21, 2024.
